One-on-One Guidance
When you call CT4, you reach Alan or Amanda. No call centre, no project-manager filter — the people who quote your job are the people who run it. Easier to ask questions, easier to keep decisions moving.
Two founders, 22 years, one Pretoria-based crew. We've built homes, installed solar systems, and handled structural repairs across Gauteng since 2004 — and we still personally run every site ourselves.
We started in 2004 as Covering Africa, building thatch roofs and pools across Gauteng. The clients we worked with kept flagging the same gap in the market — a real shortage of contractors who would actually deliver on time and to spec. By 2009 we'd renamed to CT4 Construction CC and stepped up into full residential home builds to fill exactly that gap, with structural repairs and solar following as natural extensions.
Today, Alan runs production and Amanda runs admin and planning — the same two people who started Covering Africa in 2004. NHBRC registered, 200+ completed projects across Gauteng, and still small enough that the founders are on every site.

Every project has its rough patches, but we don't let them define the journey. We stay focused on what's working, solve problems as they come, and keep the standard of work high from groundbreaking to handover.
Our crews come from the communities we build in. We bring people on as general labour, train them on site, and watch them grow into bricklayers, plumbers, and drivers. It's a slower way to build a team — but it's ours, and it's worth it.
Every CT4 site has a designated first aider and runs under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Every worker is registered for accident cover under the COID Act.
The paperwork side isn't glamorous, but it's the difference between a site that gets shut down by an inspector and one that finishes on time.
